Era and Joy live in a town with their father, who used to work for a church. He
used to work for whole day and used to come home late.

One day Era and Joy told their father that they get scared in the evening when it is dark and he is not around. Their father got worried and was thinking what  to do. Next day he came home with a candle. He told Era and Joy that this is  special candle from church. “Whenever you get scared just light this candle and you will be ok. ”

One day when father was out, it started raining heavily in the night and he  couldn’t come home. Era and Joy were scared. They remembered the candle given by their father. They lit up the candle and felt very comfortable and slept. They were not scared any more.

Next morning when father returned, he was really worried but then happy to see that Era and Joy were comfortable. They told their father that after  lighting the candle, they felt very confident and were not scared. “Thank you  father for giving us the magical candle, ” they said.

Father was happy to know this and thought how lighting a simple candle can  give confidence to kids.
